Ambrosea is located in the center of Vietri sul Mare just two steps from the main transport routes
Vietri sul Mare has been called “the gateway to paradise”, or the Amalfi Coast, one of the “Cultural Landscapes” that UNESCO considers “World Heritage”. For centuries, Vietri has been famous for the beauty of its “majolica” or painted pottery: These splendid materials are used to cover the internal altars, the dome and the cusp of the bell tower of the parish church of S. Giovanni Battista (1732), a magnificent church, whose colours are visible from afar and which contains beautiful paintings of the XVII and XVIII centuries. In Vietri, ceramics are at one with the landscape. It is in fact possible to admire them in the tiles inserted in the external and internal walls of the houses or embedded in the alleys of the ancient village.
